I am European and I am sorry to say this, but what happened in the last decade in the United States is exactly why Europe should be looking for other partners, because this is not going to be fixed soon and the future looks dark as where the USA is concerned.
It's just not a safe partnership on the long term anymore. I hope so very much that Gavin Newsom will become president and stays for at least 8 years, but the damage that is been done will take longer than that to repair, don't forget that the Trumps are not the only problem, the big tech-companies will still be there when he is gone and they do a lot of damage too and will go on if nobody puts them to a halt.
I feel sorry for you all over there, but it is what it is, maybe a next generation like in 2050 will have managed to create a sane base, but for the coming decades lots of work will need to be done.

There's one thing that we can be grateful for: Donald Trump showed the world that capitalism leads to a fascist swamp. He didn't drain anything, he ís the swamp.
We have seen Qanon, around 10 years ago they started coming, Trump was a silent but big fan, he roeleased them all not long ago.
Qanon is a terrorist organisation and Trump still is the leader, though everything happens in the dark, hidden away.
And only the fact alone that so many Americans believe in Jesus being somewhat still alive and watching from somewhere, is alarming enough, he's dead, get over it.
Capitalism and it's friend neo-liberalism is passé, after 100 years and a final failure it's time to write it down in the history-books as something from the past.
